“… the use of our intelligence quite properly gives us pleasure. In this respect the brain is like a muscle. When we think well, we feel good. Understanding is a kind of ecstasy.” Dr. Carl Sagan
Most people use less than 5% of their brain capacity. As best as I can tell, a good chunk of those people are using most of that for fear based, scarcity thinking, following status quo while bitchin’ and moanin’ (as my daddy used to say) the whole way. Enough. Dr. Sagan was right. Thoughts become things. If you feel lousy and you repeat that, in your or outloud, you’re simply creating more of the same. If you believe you are fat, you likely will not feel sexy, certainly feel unworthy, and your attitude is soon to follow suit, making you less attractive. If you feel the whole world is against you, you are right. If you feel stupid, you are right. The thing is, YOU have the power to change that. Think well. Think pleasurable. Think healthy. Think powerfully. Think love. Think kindness. Think humor. Think light.
Work the muscle. Learn something new! Do something you’ve always wanted to do. Talk to that person you’ve secretly been crushing on for the past several months (unless you are married, in which case, go flirt with your spouse- much better results long term). Send love to those people who annoy you. When you drive down the street and you see people walking, send them an energetic hug. I have been playing off being a Sagittarius (the Archer) and shooting little arrows that hit the air just over their heads and rains down gold glitter that makes them feel really loved and worthy. By the time I get to where I am going, I am laughing. My energy is elevated and good stuff has been happening to me. Just use your brain, people, and use it for good stuff. This fear based, scarcity mentality is taking use down a very dangerous road that not many will be able to survive.
